You may notice, if you visit the site directly, that I have a new Events section on the web site (see tab at the top). It has all of the VMware events that are upcoming in the IN, KY, OH, WV and PA areas.   I’ve also started to include all of my speaking engagements on the calendar as well as the VMUGs.  The links provided will allow you to register for those events should you wish to attend.

The sidebar on the site includes a listing of the upcoming events with links to more information.  Please visit the events page for full details on all of the events (please excuse the formatting of that page, work in progress to clean up the defaults).

Thanks and I look forward to seeing you on the road!

Sometimes I get caught up with family stuff on the weekends and don’t get to the KB report.  So this week I have two weeks worth.  Here’s this week’s selection from the 165 KB articles new or updated in the last two weeks:

ThinApp 4.0.2 was released yesterday.  The only main addition outside of resolving issues was the addition of the WOW64 parameter for running 32-bit apps on 64-bit OSes.

From the release notes :

The 4.0.2 release adds the Wow64 parameter to the Package.ini file. You can use this parameter to help run 32-bit applications on a 64-bit Windows operating system.

ThinApp 4.0.2 is also a maintenance bug fix release. See Resolved Issues .

You can download the updated version here .

Just a quick thank you note to Eric at  In case you haven’t seen it, Eric has the best collection of VMware related links I have ever seen.  I tend to look to his website as a great reference when I go looking for things.

The best new section is the VMware launch portal This is an outstanding resource for new and old administrators.  Definitely worth bookmarking if you have not already.

Looks like someone made #16!  Now on to challenge Duncan at .  I’m gunnin for ya Duncan!
